AAG
 [awards & grants]

The CGSG awards and grants program is one of the  group's most important functions. Each year, dues from CGSG members support paper awards and research grants for students enrolled in accredited geography programs. The competitions typically close in winter with award announcements made at the annual AAG meeting. Application forms for the 2009 competitions will be available soon. Please check back in early August.

[paper awards]

The CGSG offers awards for outstanding papers by doctoral and masters students pursuing advanced degrees in geography. Papers are evaluated by a four-member panel of judges representing major emphasis areas in cultural geography. The entire application process is now paperless, and application guidelines and forms can be found by clicking the links below. Note: You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and use the forms. [Need Adobe Reader? Click here]

Proposals are evaluated by a four-member panel of judges representing a wide range of emphasis areas in cultural geography. Award amounts are up to $500, and multiple grants may be made in years when budget and application quality support it.
