beehive tops the Eagle Gate (1859) over North State Street
downtown as the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints’ world headquarters
(1972) lends a
modernist component.
Though some might point out that
113 years really isn’t that many years, in the U.S.
that’s a long time.The
LDS (Mormons) have an interesting
relationship with their history and I don’t think
they’d find any real
juxtaposition in this photo.
